In 2024 I will go green in the garden

I WILL DEDICATE A PART OF MY GARDEN TO NATIVE WILD FLOWERS FOR POLLINATORS

I WILL LEAVE PART OF MY GARDEN WILD ENOUGH TO BE A HOME FOR WILDLIFE

I WILL PLANT AT LEAST ONE TREE THIS YEAR

I WILL MAKE MY GARDEN BOUNDARIES PERMEABLE TO WILDLIFE, E.G. HEDGEHOGS

I WILL CREATE AND MAINTAIN A FEEDING OR SHELTER OPPORTUNITY FOR BIRDS AND/OR OTHER GARDEN WILDLIFE

I WILL START AND MAINTAIN A COMPOST HEAP

I WILL NOT USE PESTICIDES, HERBICIDES OR FUNGICIDES

I WILL NOT BUY PEAT-BASED COMPOST

MY HOME ECO-PLEDGE

In 2024 I will go green in the home

I WILL REDUCE CONSUMPTION, REUSE WHERE POSSIBLE, AND RECYCLE

I WILL TURN OFF LIGHTS, CHARGERS, TVS AND COMPUTERS WHEN I'M NOT USING THEM

I WILL REPLACE MY OLDER LIGHTBULBS WITH ENERGY-EFFICIENT LED ONES

I WILL TURN THE THERMOSTAT DOWN 2 DEGREES

I WILL WASH MY CLOTHES AT 30 DEGREES MOST OF THE TIME

I WILL REDUCE MY PLASTIC USE WITH REFILLS, AND BARS OF SHAMPOO AND SOAP

I WILL USE REUSABLE FOOD CONTAINERS AND WRAPS RATHER THAN CLINGFILM OR FREEZER BAGS

I WILL SWITCH TO A GREEN ENERGY PROVIDER

Thank you for pledging to make space for nature in our beautiful village.

Together, with small steps and collective action, we can create a Greener Padbury for future generations of people and wildlife alike.
