BIRD BOXES

Birds have a housing shortage too! These wooden boxes give them a safe place to raise their chicks away from predators and wet weather. ​​​​​
WHY THEY’RE HERE
​
Our wood was planted in 2000, so the trees are still too young to form natural holes. The boxes help until the woodland matures.
Some holes may look larger than before, that’s squirrels enlarging them for nesting or food storage. Can you spot where they’ve made their mark?
