Go Wild in the Woods is back for the summer holiday!
Julie is running two sessions on Friday 24th July.
Morning - 10.30-12.00AM: Go Wild for the fluttering, buzzing and crawling creatures
Budding entomologists will love this session, linked to the national 'Big butterfly count' and their insect friends. During the session participants will learn about and try to spot butterflies, and other insects fluttering, crawling and buzzing in the woods, meadow and beneath your feet. Take home a butterfly decoration.
Suitable for all ages and under 8's must be accompanied by an adult.
Afternoon - 1.30-3.00PM: Natural Art
You don't have to be a skilled artist to enjoy this creative and informative session in the woods. We will explore how to use natural pigments and dyes, paint with colours from the earth and understand how different cultures have used natural materials in their art.
Cotton fabric squares will be provided but bring along a white or pale cotton t-shirt if you want to take away a natural tie dyed t-shirt.
This session is open to all but more suitable for 7 yrs and above.
Book your free space below!
These sessions are funded by Waitrose Community Matters and the Greener Padbury Group who recognise the importance of connecting with and caring for our natural environment.
