This weekend: SATURDAY craft fair, SUNDAY Go Wild for a Walk
Greener Padbury is getting festive this weekend - first up, we'll be taking part in the craft fair at Padbury Village Hall on Saturday. We've been busy making beeswax candles as well as jams and chutneys. Please do swing by our stall. On Sunday, between 10,30am and 12pm you will find Julie in the forest school area of the Millennium Woods with lots of fun activities (and some gingerbread cookies too). Living willow den takes shape!
On a sunny Friday in November the basic structure for the willow den in the playground was completed. During the first hour the GPG volunteers (Stan, Craig, Vale and Kassie), scoured the Millennium Woods to find a couple of hazel trees in need of being coppiced from which we cut around 15 long branches that were used to fashion the basic structure. Sunday 7th December: Go Wild 'for a walk' in the Woods
Put on your hats and coats, pack a hot drink, and head out for a stroll around the Millennium Woods to discover our new nature trail! There are ten QR code owls dotted around the trail, ready and waiting to tell you about the wildlife in the woods. Swing by station 7 between 10,30am and 12pm and you'll find Julie running a drop-in Go Wild session.
