Today is Earth Day

It's a chance to reflect on what a beautiful rural spot we're fortunate to live in - and what we can do to protect the natural world around us. It's also a time to remember that there is 'no Planet B'. The natural world, and consequently all those who share the planet, are under increasing strain. It's not something we can ignore, or leave to others, or wait for a solves-all tech solution.
As the Earth Day organisers say, 'Environmental progress is built through everyday actions - from communities protecting ecosystems to innovators advancing solutions. Clean air, safe water, and climate resilience aren't optional - they're essential.'
And that's why Greener Padbury Group is working to make space for the wildlife on our doorstep.
There are many ways you can get involved: join us for a birdsong walk this weekend, help us survey for caterpillars, moths and protect habitats for butterflies, join a volunteer work party - or get in touch (email agreenerpadbury@gmail.com) if there's something you would like to see happen!
