Woodland Planting Days: Many hands make light work!

Like gardening? Love spending time in the Millennium Wood? Come and join our volunteer woodland planting sessions.

Greener Padbury Group has secured funding for woodland flowers and plants for the Millennium Wood. We will plant bluebells, snowdrops, aconites and a range of shade tolerant flowering plants in the wood to help the pollinators, attract more insects and ultimately increase the biodiversity of the wood.

BUT with over 500 bulbs and the same number of plug plants... We need your help!

Are you free on any of the days below? Can you offer us an hour or more?

Saturday 1st April from 10am

Friday 7th April from 10am

Saturday 15th April from 10am

Everyone is welcome. You do not need to have gardening experience to join. We will explain what needs to be done - but please let us know you are coming by signing up using the link below.

Please wear sturdy footwear, suitable gardening clothes and something to drink. We would appreciate your bringing a trowel or small spade. You are welcome to bring your own gardening gloves and something to kneel on.

Please meet at the Main Street Playground for 10 am. If you are joining us between 10-1pm then please walk up to the woods and you should find small working groups amongst the trees.
