You may have spotted some new trees planted around the village - or noticed a fleet of volunteers who are keeping them hydrated as they get established. These trees are just one thing we have been able to do, thanks to a recent Rural England Prosperity Grant from Heart of Bucks, awarded to improve biodiversity and accessibility to nature.
The grant also funded:
1. Plants for pond restoration
2. Tawny owl box for St. Mary’s churchyard
3. Chainsaw and safety equipment for woodland management
4. Scythes for our newly trained meadow cutters
5. Cameras for wildlife camera lending library initiative
6. New, young trees planted in Padbury’s communal green spaces
7. Events blackboard
8. New sign to tell the next stage of the woods’ story
9. Bench in the Millennium Woods
10. Hi-vis volunteer vests
