On 27 July, we joined other Proud of Bucks winners at the Winslow and Villages Community Board's showcase on Winslow's recreation ground. This was held alongside the Play Around the Parishes so there were lots of young families, many of whom visited our stall to make bug hotels to take home to their gardens.
We very much enjoyed talking to parents about our biodiversity project, forest school and the Go Wild sessions. Many had either been, or had heard good things and wanted to attend - and others said how they wished they had such things in their own community. It was very encouraging to hear how valued helping children to access and respect their local wild spaces is.
